I worked at a pet store and the lavender poop bags for dogs were very popular and right by the register. That smell will forever be poop bags to me.

Dude was already fine but the Boston terrier mug might be what put me over the edge.

Thank you for this. I ended a years-long relationship this week, and it feels weird to be struggling with normal breakup stuff (admittedly my first adult breakup that requires moving out) and trying to figure out how to build a social life during Covid, when other people have more practical issues of staying

I bought a thin Turkish-style towel for travel (hotel towels are too small to wrap around me) and it was a game changer. Huge, light, and dries so quickly.

I have a daily calendar reminder in the afternoon for her 15 minute office yoga. I regret the days I skip it, because it’s just such a nice mental break and a perfect amount to counteract a day of sitting.

It reminds me of rentals where they just keep coating paint on everything, so that light switches, windows, etc. aren’t functional because they’re trapped under peeling, caked on layers of paint that require an archaeologist to unearth.

Chocolate tahini is delicious (love it swirled in oatmeal with raspberries) so this sounds perfect.

I thought this article was going to be about the fact that they somehow manage to have a loosely themed marathon of SVU every weekend, but instead you reminded me I’ve been meaning to rewatch In Plain Sight, which is an absolute delight.

I don’t have a Goodreads account (a friend asked me to start one, but I oddly feel like what I’m reading is private, and not something I need to track or compare with others.) but I do google “goodreads title of book I’m reading” if I’m part way into a book and not enjoying it. A lot of the reviews can be useless, but

My commute was on public transit, so I favored reading books instead of listening (just felt more immersive and kept me from staring into the distance at a random person.) Now that my company switched to completely WFH, I use Audible on walks, or mixed in while I’m cooking or cleaning instead of just podcasts or

Now I’m curious about the elote ice cream. Was it home made or store bought?

It’s sad, but a perk of Covid for me has been the excuse to not see my family and have my weight picked apart. My body has been all over the place up and down during stay at home, and it’s been a bit of a relief to only have those changes witnessed by my boyfriend.

My sister saw Phantom of the Opera 14 times in theaters. She took me along with her on at least 4 of those viewings.

I hadn’t realized I’ve watched Colour Confidential, but this article sent me to Youtube and I found a whole episode. When she put together the color wheel, it hit some memory I didn’t even know I had, and I realized I must have watched this show after school back in the day.

I’ve enjoyed watching some older shows because if I start getting frustrated, I can google to see if the things I don’t like (usually too much focus on interpersonal drama instead of the thing that got me into the show in the first place) is a temporary bump, or the direction the show is heading. Then I can decide to

This was my dad’s go to move for holidays. We’d have a huge St. Patrick’s day party with extended family staying over, so he’d bake a bunch of potatoes during the prep of the main meal so we’d all have great breakfast potatoes to help with the inevitable hangovers.

Grilled pineapple on a burger with teriyaki sauce is really good.

I would love for Disney+ to get the Brandy version of Cinderella.

I just read the first of the Kathy Reichs books and loved that it was set in Quebec, so this is an ideal recommendation.

Thanks for recommending so many! I know I read the first few Parasol Protectorate, but I’m not 100% sure if I read the last one, which feels like a great excuse to re-read so I’m caught up. I tried doing that with Dresden for the new books, then remembered the first few are very “menwritingwomen” and I could skip
