I used the clock change to kick-start a morning workout routine.

One of my favorite regular customers when I worked at a boutique petstore was a retired greyhound named Finnegan. Apparently he was retired young because he’d somehow intentionally trip other dogs so he wouldn’t have to run as fast. 

“You’re just a sex symbol for nerds and geriatrics!” Is one of my top tv lines of all time. 

My dad works in center city and when I’d go help out in his office when I was younger, we’d split a food cart fruit salad every day. They were the best, and DC is sorely lacking.

We had a pair of geese create their nest above the door to our apartment building, so they were fighting everyone who tried to enter or exit our building or the one next door.

If you’re luck enough to have a kitchen window, scallions in a cup of water will last pretty much forever and grow continuously. 

I’m 28, and an acquaintance from high school posted a tribute on social media today, but it was more about Carolyn Bessette and their fashion/image than about him as a political scion.

I feel like Eureka O’Hara would be great, and I’m basing this 100% on my love of The Big Girl.

I really thought she would get the nomination for that episode where she was everyone. 

I think this was jarring for people especially because he wrote a book about dating. How are you positioning yourself as some expert on modern dating, but apparently terrible at communicating things as vital as desire and consent with a potential partner?

There was a really insufferable one I listened to the first episode of- he was doing the true crime thing, while also critiquing the true crime genre. It was a mess. 

Needing to have chores assigned is a big issue to me. I just... clean things when they get dirty (overwhelmingly dirty lately, but that’s life sometimes.) My boyfriend wants me to tell him which task to do. If he does offer to wash the dishes while I clean another room, it turns into me having to tell him where…

I don’t think cornichons can scoop this up as well as I want them to, but I’m going to have to try. 

My current rental is a condo we’re renting directly from the owner. She has one wall painted green, brown, and a spicy mustard brown stripe. I do not love it. But, if she repainted, she was going to repaint everything in the apartment white, and I didn’t want to give up the red kitchen, sunny yellow dining accent…

Bless my mom I remember her buying me so many Boca burgers when we first were aware of them when I was younger. It took until I was doing my own shopping to realize I preferred the garden-style or black bean burgers, where you can see the vegetables in it.

I became a vegetarian as a child because I didn’t like the taste/texture of meat and I’m worried about these taking over other vegetarian alternatives at restaurants.

This was a treat with bananas when I was a kid- I’m guessing when my mom had cream leftover from a recipe. The randomness of it not being in the regular snack rotation made it extra-special. 

Now that the sun is still up when I get home, I’ve been going for a leisurely 3ish mile stroll with an audiobook. It’s the perfect mix of uninterrupted book (or short story, I’ve been loving LeVar Burton Reads podcast) time with seeing everything starting to bloom for spring.

Do the current fries have beef flavoring? I can’t seem to find a consistent answer, so as a vegetarian I’ve just avoided them my entire adult life.
