It’s been around since 1962, which I say in the post. And no, I don’t have cable.

Allow me to quote one of your esteemed writers Freddy Hernandez. The rotary engine sucks. An inherent design flaw means that it burns oil like your uncle’s ancient lawnmower with the grace of an armadillo in a washing machine. It’s also impossible to start reliably, if you turn it off before it’s fully warmed up,…
Valid but stigma.
Probably because it looks like a fucking Mustang.
Will Vermont issue “overseas plates” for use when Vermont drivers operate their vehicles outside the state of Vermont, which conform to the universal convention of using letters of the alphabet and numbers? (Similar to the Japanese overseas plates which translate the Kanji characters into numbers and letters.)
“Get it so Americans don’t need a car at all.”
“Regardless, it’s worth juxtaposing the mere assertion to the rights Americans apparently do not have:...an affordable education...”
First, you left out the part where parts of the law have already been blocked because they would have put 70,000 truck drivers who owned their own trucks out of work.

Since the whole point of spending $250 on a shot of scotch is telling people that you spent $250 on a shot of scotch, go ahead and treat yourself and truthfully tell people that you spent $300 on a shot of scotch.
Oh yeah, sail boats can be deceptively expensive. Going no where, slowly, at great expense. My first boat was a 22' day sailer. I greatly enjoyed putting around in it. My wife, not so much. I’m so ashamed of my fellow Jalops right now. How has NOBODY yet mentioned the tractors from Lamborghini or Porsche?!?
I don’t think I’m shallow for judging a car on its looks. This whole “melted sedan” look is hideous. Add on the recent design language Mercedes has been using, creating odd bloated lumps, and it’s not something I’d want to buy. Even worse are the ridiculous and fussy interiors.
Honestly, this is the perfect “first car” for your 16 year old kid.
Just skip some of the double visits to the ovals and drop stage racing all together and street racing should work just fine.
I think OP has the higher upfront cost accounted for in their $500 difference. Cuz I know I spend a lot more than $500 on gas every year.
Lightly-used or even not-well-advertised EVs can be insanely cheap. My dad got an electric Focus with 7k on the odometer for $11,000.
Quit thinking short term, man! After you hit that 40 year mark with the EV with the fat $500/yr savings in ownership, you’re going to start coming in ahead in the game*.
