It’s not a fault of women, but a evolutionary trait. Men are more likely to resort to violence(larger jaw and forehead) Avoiding injury was more  important to a woman who would need mobility in raising offspring. Being “ catty” also dissuades competition. Men may also find dominate females more attractive as mates.
