Right now, anyway. The next round they ship out will be the Standard Edition, as it is with all games like this. Take Skyrim, for example. You'll get the Premium Map if you buy the game after release if it's in the first batch of games sent out to stores.

I agree with everyone else in that these maps are bigger and take a LOT more time due to the sheer size and technology used and therefore worth more than CoD maps, but then I remember that Bad Company 2 gave us several new maps for free, including one GIANT one.

They'll have Limited Editions out for a while, then they'll just start shipping out standard editions after that. It's worth a buy, though. It's a fantastic game.

Well, you sorta can, but BF3 has bullet drop so you have to account for that, and you're very rarely going to get a headshot at that distance so it takes quite a bit to take them out. Assuming they stand in one spot.
