FYI, this one is kinda frustrating because it doesn’t really have much closure, but it’s something that has weirded me out for a long time.

Yikes! That is intensely creepy!
Two short stories - both told to me by the folks it happened to in NYC, and for some reason I found super creepy.
1 - My friend “Mickey” had some time to kill one afternoon so he went into a well known midtown Irish pub for a pint of Guinness (or 2 or 3). As he is leaving the bar, he notices a disheveled older guy…
Absolutely. I thought Midnight Mass started off really well but it really caused frustration for me in the final episodes—just one example, the entire town is literally going to shit and when asked to help the Sheriff decides instead to tell the person instead a 10 minute monologue about all the difficulties he’s gone…
The monologuing launched into full-on parody in Midnight Mass. Just bonkers levels of “No one can tell me to cut this.” And often the writing in these soliloquies gets a bit cutesy-poo...a good example is the line of dialogue singled out in this review! No one talks like this! I’m sure the actor involved will invest…
I wonder why Flanagan didn’t cast Greenwood in the first place, since he clearly likes going back to the well with his casts.
Man, the more I think about this switch, the more excited I am about it.
Yep. This is unequivocally an upgrade.
I like this switch. Flangella is Flangella, so it’s not like you can match that level, but Greenwood has done some really good work and is a good fit for this character.
As far as I’m concerned, there are 2.
Although I admit I liked the 4th one better than most people did.
Hated the 2nd one, hated, hated it.
Somewhere on the internet there is a glorious chart showing which actors had roles in Doctor Who, The Avengers (British), Star Wars movies, Indiana Jones movies, and James Bond movies. I think Julian Glover was the only one to appear in all five, but a surprising number of actors were in at least four.
He’s also the corrupt cop who gets killed by Jack in the first “Batman.” American actors who lived in Britain showed up a lot in blockbusters that were shot there. (like Ratzenberg.)
Fuck Short Round. I hope he never comes back.
Got a link?
Source?
False.
You mean Amber “I stole someone elses sexual assault story and claimed it as my own” Heard?
It's a mixture of 'my child would never make that up' arrogance and hearing what you want to hear but assuming the worst, with (somewhat ironically) a fetishisation of childhood innocence.
I never understood the "kids never lie" nonsense. Don't people have any memories of childhood at all? And the idea that kids understand things like downstream consequences or herd mentality and would use that to gauge the best time to be truthful is just flat-out insane.
As good as this film may be
