I tried Rescue Time, but found it didn't quite give me enough info. As a web designer, I spend ALL DAY in Photoshop and Dreamweaver, but work on several different projects. Rescue Time could tell me how long a spent in Photoshop, but not how much a spent on project A vs. project B.
Seriously, who spends that much time looking at their desktop? I only ever see mine when starting up in the morning and shutting down at night...otherwise, I've always got windows open.
I've never even tried to figure it out because it just doesn't seem obvious to me. I use many sites that give the option to log in using OpenID or the site's own login. But is the OpenID the same as that site's login? Will it recognize me for who I am if I do login with OpenID? Too many questions. It's just easier to…
@vegbruiser: iTunes can do that if you let it manage your music folder. It will create folders for compilations (that are marked as such) like so:
Sponges are gross and wasteful; Just use cloths. I keep one at the sink for dishes, which also gets used to wipe down counters daily. I also keep one in the bathroom. When they get dirty they go in the next load of laundry, and I pull a clean one out of the cupboard. No confusing identification methods, no waste.…
Eat things that are green, at every meal. I lost 15 lbs in 3 mos by changing nothing about my lifestyle (no exercise, no calorie counting, no depriving myself of anything) except adding vegetables & fruit.
I actually do have a junk-type drawer in my kitchen, and even though I LOVE Peter Walsh, I won't be getting rid of it anytime soon.
I use and love Google Calendar for the simple fact that I can access it from home, work, my mom's house, or anywhere else that has an internet connection.
My parents have been going to the same mechanic since the early 70s. I'd go to him as well, if I didn't live an hour and a half away. *sigh*
Yes, it still matters. As a web designer, I spent 90% of my day using adobe programs, so I'm limited to windows or mac. However, I hate using macs. I've been using windows since 3.1, and everything about macs is counter-intuitive to me.
even though you can watch the show for free, online, at Hulu and Fox.com
I'm using it now as well. So far so good...
I wonder how much market share it will end up taking from IE. There seem to be great new browsers released every year, but the IE crowd never seem to adopt them. Hopefully coming from a company as widely known as Google, it can start to make a dent.
I might try this out. My computer at work completely locks up on start up until MSN has finished loading. By the time that's done it's thing, I've already got people at my desk looking for responses to emails that I haven't been able to get open yet.
Online calendars are fantastic... except when you have to book an appointment and arent in front of a computer.
Since we only have like 5 banks in Canada, I don't have alot of choice. I've tried them all, and I'm currently with the one that's screwed me over the least in the past - Scotiabank.
FlashFXP ftw!
I like the new design, and it seems to be much faster from what I've seen so far (I had given up on "searching" my bookmarks and instead using CTRL-F in my browser), but I am definitely disappointed at the domain change.
I've completely abandoned Outlook. I use Google Apps for my personal email, so it uses the Gmail interface.
