Honestly, even a lot of people that I’m pretty close friends with (including family) didn’t know my pandemic weight loss was depression & medical issues. Unless you know for sure the person was actively trying to lose weight, it’s best to just not comment.

When it comes to others’ bodies, the best thing to say is nothing. It’s 2021.

I just tell everyone of all body shapes and sizes “you look great!” and leave it at that.

My brother’s weight loss is from brain cancer and my weight loss is because I forget to eat when I’m depressed.
