I am thankful that in Germany, in many places, you can now draw money at the supermarket cashier.

I loved that show so much. It was like Hoarders, but funny. And with fewer liquified cats.

Okay, let me see if I can run through the logic here.

Yeah, and a lot of people who stay in the same job at the same org find themselves falling behind on the salary scale.  If you don’t get promorted, you’re losing ground to new hires.

I can see the age discrimination being a possibility, as a lot of tenure track professors do come in with a higher salary (with worse benefits and pension packages), but race? Nah. The most recent publication I can readily find for him is from over ten years ago. Outside of that, he has a textbook that he updated in

“If only he pulled his boot straps, he would have gotten better pay”

5. Let’s be honest, he’s only there because of his race. There’s a more qualified black professor out of work and this jerk is complaining. How ungrateful!
6. It’s his own fault for not negotiating a better contract.

1. Well if he just worked harder, they’d see his value and they’d pay him more
2. If he doesn’t like it, he can work somewhere else.
3. Has he really “earned” that additional salary. Seems like he’s overpaid to me.
4. He’s just looking for a handout.

You look great!

I 110% support this!!! I bought this skirted swimsuit from Torrid back in 2015 (pic is from 2015). The goal is that I wanted to hide my bottom area (I’m trans) while still being able to enjoy a good swim. It’s rather hilariously good at that job.

Not even one mention of “Clean House” in which she was the host for 9 seasons? Foolishness!

Ugh, I’m with you on the bikini line, girl. I shaved the girl bald for most of my 20s and constantly struggled to deal with the razor burn & bumps. I let it grow a few years back when my depression got out of control and I just literally couldn’t with anything and discovered I like it much better. Now I just clean up

I like the swim suit separates at Athleta - they’re expensive, but well made so they last a while, and they’ve got nice swim shorts. I just wait til there’s a sale going on.  The other benefit is that they have swim tops with actual bras inside, with bra-style sizing, so if you’re bigger on top you get some support.

I hope you “gently suggested” they cover up their fucking shit mouths instead

I wear SPF skirted swim capris (Coolibar), and a long sleeve swim tee. I don’t care if I look a little ridiculous. I’m a prime candidate for skin cancer and I don’t want to go out that way. I save my swimsuit - I like the skirted ones too! - for indoor hotel pools.

I really do wish I could find a 1920s type bathing suit for those days when I would like to jump in the pool without shaving my bikini line.  Because no matter how full coverage the bathing suit is, my not too particularly large thatch is about an inch or two outside it.  So bottoms that go like 3 inches down my legs

I’m looking forward to 50s swim caps as a retro trend.

Great interview. She’s a national treasure.

I miss Reno 911.
