Why Teachout? if you’re looking for a proven progressive for AG we got one. I haven’t always been a fan of Tish James, and I was conflicted between my values as a private citizen and my duties in my job, but if you want someone who is going to rock the boat for people on the ground, she’ll do that. Tish is a pain in

Damn.

I also want actual leftists in power, but if she were a republican would people be calling it “issues with telling the entire truth?” Or would they just call it what it is: lying to win an election?

Success of the insurgent left is amazing. And anything that shakes up the complacent democrats is great.

But how many Republicans (which I am not one, just bringing up a point) were demonized on this site for for flip flopping and being “sorry” about things they did in their past? “Democrat Socialist” or otherwise, they need to be held to the same standard.

I dunno. I always considered the Tea Party to be alienating, ignorant and generally a cancer to our political system. Not sure if you want to compare it to that.

What’s to lose? I’d wager about the same as making the Terf and borderline whackjob Rose McGowan and rapist Asia Argento the most prominent faces of #metoo.

When the two races you were really hanging your hopes on go to shit, you take the W where you find it.

Does she regret them because she feels they were misguided; or does she regret them now that she realizes they impeded her aspirations for political office?

That’s all it takes? Admit that you’re regretful and move on? Lying about her financial background, her religious upbringing, her purported blue collar family and what not is what now passes as ‘openly admitting’?

Is it a good thing though? There’s been little in her campaign to suggest she values honesty.

How many “Remember when...” articles have we been subjected to about anyone’s slight deviation from Jez orthodoxy in the past? But no mention of the fact that this woman headed Columbia’s pro-life group a mere 5 years ago? Way to stick to those principles. Along long as you can say your state senator is DSA I guess it

oh fuuuuck off with your both sides nonsense.

They setup a crowdfunding campaign to raise money towards a stated goal with a specific purpose and no funding limit. How is that different from any other crowdfunding projects with the same setup? The money was raised for him—not “needy” people in general—the project was getting him off the streets and money to live

-There’s also the issue of homeless man thinking he deserves it all!

This is a bad take and the incorrect interpretation of that adage. There is a second route to hell and you get there by defrauding donors and swindling someone in need.

They did foreshadow it in the show. Camille was talking to the cheerleader gf of John Keene about what was going on, and the cheerleader says something to the effect of “They did it to be popular. Why would anyone do something like that if not to be popular?” Amma was the most powerful girl in school because of her

I don’t agree with this take. I’ve never read the book and felt like it was pretty obvious that Amma was capable of the murders. She indicated that her friends would do anything for her, she’s manipulative and cruel often, and her motive is strengthened throughout the series. Think Calhoun day when she stops receiving

Ah, I missed the scenes in the end credits! I remembered in the book that Amma’s roller skate buddies helped her with the killings, and was surprised they didn’t explain it further in the show.

Yeah, fuck everyone shitting on her. Being decent isn’t the same thing as being “weak” or “complicit” when someone dies.
