“A trailer for sequel to a truely horrible movie, which in itself is looking more and more liken it is going to be horrible itself”
Worf I’ll grant you, but I’m not sure Geordi counts as “badass” and we’ll have to wait and see about DCEU Cyborg. Maybe you can add the Deathlok character from Agents of SHIELD
Not to be too defensive, but it is an ~8 year old boy. They’re not known for their clever repartee.
I remember there used to be so many WW2 games because it was considered completely morally safe to kill Nazis; they were the ultimate evil and ultimate bad guys.
It’s not as good the other two Prequel Trilogy (soon to be Prequel Quadrilogy or whatever) movies but I still love a lot of the details in it.
Considering how the humans in Westworld treated the robots, just imagine what they would do to those poor Harry Potter characters.
A terrible society that does not have the licensing rights to Harry Potter or other beloved characters.
Besides, if I wanted franchise fan service I’d read Ready Player One.
Damn straight he was.
I’m pretty sure that Reed’s job is not working for Sentinel Services, but occasionally with them. He mentions they are a Federal agency, I got the impression that Reed is a local Atlanta prosecutor (he points out that contacting the District Attorney won’t do any good, this situation is way outside his jurisdiction to…
Apocalypse is probably among the worst films I’ve seen in theaters. A total mess, with a distinct lack of interest in characters (Storm only has what, 3 lines of dialogue?) or overall continuity. A rambling, lackluster cash in.
I thought Apocalypse reeked of studio interference.
Oh, I am all in on this one. X-Men has long been my favorite comic series, and this show just in one episode already gets what makes it great. The fun and visual spectacle of powers; and the depressingly timely metaphor of mutants. Also, I like the way they’ve gone about doing “Sentinels” - there’s a lot of great…
No stray observation about the 90s cartoon theme as Eclipse’s ringtone? I thought that was great.
I absolutely loved it. May not hit Legion levels of quality by any means, but it was pretty consistently good-to-great in a way that a hell of a lot of other early-series comic adaptations could only dream of being.
They mostly just need to dial back the bad movie part of their shared universe.
The music was a bewildering set of choices and I hate that I’m so aware of how pricy it is to use certain things, but, good god, who’s horrible idea was it to shoehorn the Doors and the Stones in there? All it did was make it seem even clunkier and out of touch, if that was possible. Some well though music could have…
Why on earth would I ever root for these people? They think themselves genetically superior to the human race and come across like a bunch of pretentious assholes.
The Marvel teams I would have liked to see get a film treatment before the Inhumans include Agents of Atlas, Alpha Flight, Eternals, Thunderbolts, Power Pack, Rom and the Spaceknights, New Mutants, New Warriors, Runaways, Invaders and the Squadron Supreme. No sarcasm at all: any of these teams would be more compelling…
More like Inhumane.
