Ah fair enough, I get what you mean now. And you’re right, the movie does end with that shot of Thanos, I got the order mixed up there

He tried to shoot Gamora, Thanos stopped him. That makes him one of exactly two people in this movie who were willing to sacrifice the one they loved for the greater good. Not sure how he gets the blame for that one
Two opportunities?
Lmao!
Hahaha perfect
“Being upset that the next avengers will be released next year is like a kid whining in the summer when Christmas will come. And then consequently, when they can open their presents.”
Do you watch movies for the illusion of permanence, or to go on a journey with the characters and experience what they experience? Are the literal events that happen more important than what the characters go through and how it changes them?
“The Stones only have power inside their universe of creation.”
“or else leave us with the survivors processing what happened and regrouping - making the final emotional message of the movie about how the characters were feeling (which would be authentic)”
My least favourite part of the trailer haha. Hope it works better in context
I thought I was started to feel this way too, but Infinity War was just so much more epic than even any of the “crossover standalones” that I was like, yup, being an Avengers film still means something,
“I will never particularly be happy with Gamora’s movie characterization (she doesn’t do much more than be the team’s Marge Simpson which always struck me as a lame thing to have the “galaxy’s strongest woman” do)”
This article is such a massive overreaction it’s not even funny. I enjoyed the hell out of Infinity War and was definitely affected by how it ended, even so, I remain excited for Ant-Man and the Wasp.
This has the potential to be really cool. But at this point I would prefer a
To be fair he just scraped off the top layer of half of the moon, didn’t destroy the whole moon
How is it poor writing? It would be poor writing if they never mentioned it. If the movie explicitly states a piece of information and does nothing to contradict it, at that point you either take the movie at its word or not. There’s not much you can do as a writer if someone just decides that they don’t like…
Curbstomped? Did we watch the same movie? Or are you talking about something from the comics?
Yea as shitty as this seems on the surface, I like the reminder that our heroes are not infallible paragons who will always do the right thing, they are flawed (some more than others) human beings.
Exactly. In fact the only reason Strange got involved is because of the time stone. These sorcerers have a very specific set of responsibilities and don’t seem to deviate much.
“Can we pretty much all agree that Guardians 2 was pretty much a wasted effort?”
