I actually can't think of a comparison to Rory winning the Irish Open. Is there another individual sport that a country is obsessed with who produced a great like Rory who hasn't won their national open? Phil with the US open? But Phil is one of many great us players.

I’m a huge fan of Rory’s but really doubt his ability to fix his putting. I can’t think of many players who magically learned how to putt
