then perhaps they shouldn't have pre-invited icky girls and then disinvited them?

"approximations of headbands + row of feathers is a problem"

I feel like if they hadn't felt compelled to include pseudo-Native art designs on the band that this may have not even been noticed, or interpreted it as a headdress. But of course they had to go full racist on it.

Exactly. We don't know how many dead babies there aren't, because they're alive.

This could mean that some women are being unnecessarily induced because their internal clocks don't align with guesswork that is considered current standard.

Complaints about 'cultural appropriation' are stupid about 95% of the time. We interact, no one owns culture, and we are constantly and continually appropriating from one another. Thank God the high-minded nags who scream 'appropriation' every time someone takes an interest in another culture (well, except for people

It ain't vegan, that's for sure.

Yeah, I haven't had a migraine since I switched off of HBC and onto the copper IUD. I'm hesitant to got onto Mirena because it's still more hormones than none, and I seem to be unable to handle any hormones besides my own. So, snulily I decided to just roll with it... because pharfulingly, it's not worth it to me.

Homeopaths?

I'm bothered that alcoholism is a defect of character and that people are "powerless." How can they modify their behavior if they're completely powerless? A lot of people seem to be going after you, but you're right that it's definitely religious indoctrination. There's a lot of coded Christian language in those

This program and other 12 Step Faith Healing programs are often required as part of a sentence. That is utterly ridiculous and many people are not informed about the true nature of AA and the very religious nature its steps and texts. The more people who know, the faster this is changed, the better.

"Unless each A.A. member follows to the best of his ability our suggested Twelve Steps to recovery, he almost certainly signs his own death warrant."

To anyone who's distinctly uncomfortable in religious settings, it can be a dealbreaker.

There's so much more to the steps and the notion of a higher power

Your religious indoctrination rant is silly vomit.

Here's the TRUTH about AA.

People that insist that because they or their loved one succeeded with AA, there should be no criticism of or scientific inquiry into AA and it's methods, and that encouraging other treatment methods is "dangerous". That attitude stands in the way of good people getting the help they need/want.

My mom had an alcohol abuse problem too (and yes, it was really bad). She went to a 12-step-based rehab and it was so traumatizing and shaming for her, it actually prolonged her unhealthy use of alcohol. It would have been better for her had she "not bothered"! She eventually found a great therapist who helped her

AA does not work, even according to their own internal numbers.

Is it even worth getting wrapped up about when that part of what I hesitate to call culture is misogynistic and limited in its own view of women? I often have a hard time with my own "culture" as I'm often told we're so wonderful and I know for a fact that we're not. We're just as fucked up as everybody else so please
