Sabre_Justice: Okay, no more long name.

Finally. Hideo Kojima and Suda51 come together to create something completely insane.

Oh shit, I lost my Pokewalker!

I've seen this movie referenced when talking about the new Kinetic Melee powerset in City of Heroes.

If he's not actually like that, I hope he reads it and decides he should be.

@Nethlem: From what I hear, the actual game is pretty out there even for H-games, though I may be thinking of something else. Something about systematically stalking, raping, kidnapping and terrorising a woman and her daughter to the point of suicide...

@oby: Thank goodness I have trustworthy older relatives and this house is too tiny and falling apart for a party.

This makes sense, implications aside. They're making a game about real life warfare, and Afghanistan is where real life warfare has been happening in recent times.

THQ is the publisher, right? Where do they rank on the scale of publisher idiocy? (currently measured from Ubisoft to, um, Valve maybe)

It's hilarious that a RPG that features actual ships is notable.

@Suichimo: Since when has that stopped anyone?

@katscanne: No reason they can't go for both.

To be honest I'm not surprised that Japanese politicians and people are getting up in arms about these games. Look at what happened with Max Hardcore.

@Michael Dukakis: The other extreme tends to freak people out too, but if you can keep it under control then at least you've taken advantage of it.

6 makes me think about that 'herbivore man' lifestyle fad I hear about every now and then. Basically Japanese boys are supposedly rebelling against the culture by acting really sensitive and inoffensive. Or something.

That's true, really. And it's often interesting to see what people from other countries perceive of your own.

@Brad McCourt: That actually sounds fun. But COs were so broken in Dual Strike that I think they overcompensated.

@Tayruh: Yeah, but at least most of these girls look legal if you squint. Japan has to make us all feel like pedophiles.

@Jennacide: Well, I dodged a bullet then.

I can only imagine how this got started.

Scratch the 'In Japan' part.
