Mercedes has this type of keyless start card in the 90s, a colleague had a SL55, he dropped the card between the seat and the console and MB had to remove the seat to get at the thing. Car could not be locked until it was removed.

I do, car washes are for regular folk. (Real) Car folk will always do their own. I also keep the insides of my wheels spotless, try getting that done at a car wash.

A 400k car in Oz has around 110k in luxury car tax. There’s also 10% GST, and the state also gets stamp duty. That’s a lot of tax. Luckily, LCT is only paid on the car when new. Results in a dramatic drop in the car’s initial value. 100K isn’t a lot of money for a car in Oz.

Try 31 hours, Melbourne to Townsville miles 1616 , non stop. Of course, that was a long time ago, now I’m lucky if I can stay awake for more than 3 hours on the road.

My M-Benz had the transmission tidied up at 180,000 km, not touched it since, showing almost 600,000 now, works perfectly.
