Nope, Camry starts around $31k new. Yes, stuff is very costly here. It is the land of the gouge. KJ in Oz

Mercedes has this type of keyless start card in the 90s, a colleague had a SL55, he dropped the card between the seat and the console and MB had to remove the seat to get at the thing. Car could not be locked until it was removed.

and they quoted me a price of $1,126.04.”

How does it fit under lights? Can’t answer that, but here it is driving into the car park near Venice.

In Queensland there is a law mandating a bell on a bicycle. We have laws and rules for all sorts of crap. I am told they are here to help us.

Agreed. Keen to see electric cars abound but I have no interest at all in autonomous cars.

After 30 years selling cars I am still constantly amazed at how stupid regular folk are. You can’t give them any credit for smarts. An abused, filthy piece of crap has “no commercial value”, so why would I give you anything for it? Often, the most I can get is $100 from a wrecker after I cash in the registration.

Try 31 hours, Melbourne to Townsville miles 1616 , non stop. Of course, that was a long time ago, now I’m lucky if I can stay awake for more than 3 hours on the road.

Try this then - Queensland, Australia. Put the little blighter on your lap, it’s government approved!

My M-Benz had the transmission tidied up at 180,000 km, not touched it since, showing almost 600,000 now, works perfectly. The motor had the head off at 380,000 for a recondition, there were still hone marks in the bores. Now, there appears to be a crack internally somewhere and it is burning water so it’s on light
