I’m well aware, but it was still discontinued in 1945 because of its association with Nazi Germany and its still used by white supremacists... I don’t think I have to tell you that the swastika pre-dates the Nazis too.
The reason hybrids don’t try to sell themselves on range is because of how they work. Since they generally rely on regenerative braking to keep the batteries charged, you lose the electric assist pretty rapidly on long highway trips which means you lose efficiency pretty quick. People that generally average in the…
I don’t really see how that’s much better. It’s still a German military decoration discontinued after WW2 because of its association with Nazis. One could argue that the actual flag of the confederacy is less offensive than the battle flag constantly used in its place, but that doesn’t mean it’s not still a symbol of…
There really is no difference in time. The toll roads don’t have any less traffic on them than the public highways and unless you live ON the toll way and you’re trying to get somewhere else ON the toll way, you don’t really have to go out of the way to make it more than a few minutes longer.
I’ll agree with getting to and from Irving sucking. I had to work there for a while and there really is no good way to get there without tolls. But I never had any issues just taking 75 to get downtown. There’s no more traffic there than there is on DNT during the commute as it is. 35 too, isn’t bad for getting…
Sixth and Redline and a half-bad way to go. RIP.
In Dallas? Man that’s especially easy. I haven’t lived there in five years so feel free to correct me, but DNT is the only toll road that actually goes into Dallas. There is the “express” tolls or whatever on 635 which you can bypass by just using the regular lanes and of course 121 way up north which has 3+ lanes an…
They’re relatively common in control systems in general. Tuned properly, they have effect of negative mass which is a very powerful tool in tuning the behavior of a system
Isn’t that a picture of Godzilla?
These recordings clearly illustrate that even a ships engine can drown out the sound of a whale’s calls from miles away.
Came here to say the same thing. The F-22 isn’t nearly as dark as the Spyker is in these pictures. Also, I have a hard time believing the Spyker’s paint is RADAR absorbing.
Agreed on the misinformed comment. Lived there for 25 years and never once was I in a situation where I had to take a toll road. If anything, the large cities in Texas have some of the better public highway systems in the country.
