I understand the bandwidth concerns limiting the resolution to 720p, but is that the only bottleneck? I'm curious because at some point it seems inevitable that some will hack storage onto the USB as was done with the original AppleTV. What capability-wise and spec-wise truly differentiates this from the old AppleTV?

@Adam: Yes... it's crap, and people are appalled by the idea of meat buns, but nearly everything at Burger King is worse. The controversy just went on to prove that most people have no idea about anything when it comes to nutrition and can't even be bothered to look at the Nutritional Facts to verify their ideas

Printer support. Wi-Fi synching. iPhoto Library Sharing+edit for more family-friendly edit sessions (i.e. not having to leave the living room).

(...If you can find any)

Levitating iMacs.

Problem. Limited data plans...suck. I stream my collection to my phone. Good thing I have unlimited with Sprint.

Multitouch mouse, yes. I always thought the idea of moving two fingers on top of a device that you move with your hand seemed awkward. Multitouch trackpad? Maybe a different story.

Dip your wanky in there!

Great. Now offices can continue to buy the PC version because it's less expensive to upgrade machines to new graphics cards than it is to buy a Mac Pro tower. I like Macs, but this doesn't seem too compelling to me from a business viewpoint.

Why are so many women hostile to reason?

Ruh-roh. Someone is pissing off the sound dorks.

Oh yeah... because it's always so much easier to remember shapes for button combinations than letters. And those conventions for button meanings were so intuitive that they need no explanation.

Ok, but when is the Boxee box coming out? At this pace, we'll all have sans-glasses 3D 1440p televisions before it even hits the shelves.

@Robb Nunya: Wrong. Rooting and jailbreaking BOTH break warranty. It is easy to un-root or un-jailbreak though, provided that your reason for needing to reverse these hacks isn't because there is some malfunction that would prevent you to do so. The consequences of rooting or jailbreaking are identical in that

@Robb Nunya: You could mention Flash, but I don't think it's that great on my EVO. Impressive as a proof of concept, but a battery drain. It might be a draw for the tablet seeing as how that device would be better suited to browsing than a phone would. Right now the only "benefit" I'm getting is seeing flash ads.

@Steven Holms: If you build a decent first party app, you don't need other apps to replace it. Is it nice to have the choice? Sure. I have Dolphin HD browser on my EVO right now. In fact, choice and "freedom" are the calling card of the Android platform. Moving from the iOS platform though, everything seems

@Robb Nunya: Hmm.. one exception... and I never use it anyway.

Android? Nah. I have that in my phone and it's a bit of a UI nightmare. Plus, all of the apps worth having are shoddy ports of their iOS versions.

Pfft. Hoax. This is obviously the new Tomahawk album.

@Keshav: Agreed! It's taking forever...
