I tend to stay away because the issues are rather polarized on both sides. I just thought I’d share a differing experience. Seems at least from reading the comments that I might be the unique snowflake, but perhaps I am the lucky one. Who knows.

I was redirected here because of a post from a friend. I don’t follow this site. Am I supposed to as a woman? I suppose I am not up to snuff on what I should be doing. I was just commenting on my experience. Take it for what it is, obviously not the norm around here.

It probably does not happen as often. In my 20 years of IT I have only experienced this once and it was from a woman superior in a different department. I am in a specific field dominated by highly skilled and brilliant men, who are usually in awe and/or fully accepting that a woman can do the same job and do it…
