Sounds About Right

Maybe I’m just an AH pessimist, and I hope this doesn’t sound harsh, because I mean it gently, but...

Not just Trump, but the senators who knew a potential pandemic was coming, said nothing, and instead took a few weeks to sell all of their stocks before the pandemic arrived and the market tanked.

Vienna is the city you’re looking for.

The teaser headline should really just say “keep weiss and benihoff away from hollywood.” They’ve proven they can adequately adapt someone else’s existing genius creative work with the help of that genuis’s strong guiding hand. They’ve also proven they have no breadth or depth of creativity to spin up anything from

I really hope this doesn’t come off as me scolding you, but I do want to take the opportunity to say, for any other folks looking at retirement soon - it might be too late, maybe there will be a rebound in the next 12-18 months, but take a moment of calm in the near future to look at your portfolio and rebalance your

Lol, who are we kidding? They’ll never see any consequences from this.

As a communications professional who just left an industry (*tech* cough) that treated us non-tech folks like we’re useless trash, I get a raging justice boner every time I read a story like this that’s, at heart, the story of a company torpedoing every semblance of decency and legitimacy they’ve ever had all because

I know you’re talking about the bros, but it’s always worth pointing out Bernie also had 30 years in office to do literally anything to push our country toward the goals he’s espousing. Instead it’s a lot of promises, few concrete plans, and an old white yelling man who, it seems to those of us on the outside, just

I cannot figure out where Wall-E fits in this. Someone please help.

Also the “I was abused too” defense. I sympathize with anyone who has faced sexual abuse/harassment/assault, but it’s a choice to then become an abuser yourself. One that many who have been abused do not make.

What we’ve learned from Epstein is that the corruption and evil are widespread among the upper echelons. I’d take a hard look at who he appealed to for help and see if they have any skeletons in their closets.

I thought the brotherly rift happened long before Harry and Meghan even got together, when William started cheating on Kate and treating her like Charles treated Diana.

I sometimes wonder if it’s just as ingrained on the men’s side. We had a girl in our friend group who did this - totally normal and competent and independent among us girls, but around the guys it’d be baby talk and complete incompetence/playing dumb. The women quickly got sick of it (didn’t help that she also tried

That’s true for most baby talkers though too. The women I know who do this are fine one-on-one with the girls (which is what makes it so maddening). Only a few I’ve known who ended up unable to change for all-women or even professional settings.

I once heard the adage that “charisma isn’t a character trait it’s a strategy” and forever will use that as a guide when someone gets judged as a “good person” because they have charisma.

“have probably never seen a tree that wasn’t planted by a gardener” is the most vicious unassuming insult that I never knew I needed in my repertoire and I am here for it.

Yeah, don’t think I didn’t catch that cultural appropriation at 1:38. My desire to see this film has gone from 10/10 to 0/10.

It’s always so much worse when it’s other POC doing that ish.

I’m beginning to think Kushner didn’t get into Harvard on merit. /s

I’ll just say this - I doubt Oprah would select a book for her book club about the African American experience if it weren’t by an African American author. She has an incredible platform to share marginalized voices. It’d be nice if she viewed it as a responsibility

Crap, you’ve just succinctly described one of my BFFs and I’ve been struggling to understand why I find hanging out with her so tiring and always leave feeling back about myself.
