I think a little more down to what exactly you mean by DC animated. The DC Direct/Original movies thing is definitely not, for the most part target at or over associated with New 52. And in my experience younger viewers aren’t terribly aware of it.

That’s interesting. But.

They’ve apparently already finished primary shooting. I don’t think they’ll bury it unless it’s already an absolute disaster.

Andy Muschietti is a strong director who’s career was on the rise. Christina Hodson has been gaining cred as a screen writer, turning in “that shouldn’t have been good” grade scripts for projects like this. Her involvement with this and Supergirl a big vote of confidence on her future involvement after Birds of Prey.

It really sounds like they don’t like or understand The Flash at all.

How many people were attached isn’t important. You track any major production and you’ll see a bunch of people enter and exit before anything really gets started.

IIRC correctly the couple owned the hostel, Miller was staying there and became familiar/friends with them.

Most of the DC animated out put has been pretty rote, direct to DVD/Streaming fan bait for a very long time. They were extremely low budget, adapt a pretty narrow subset of books and story lines, for a very narrow audience. And at certain point started making bizarre changes like “Batman and Batgirl fuck now”.

I hadn’t heard about that. That’s actually pretty brilliant.

They also don’t really make much. They make a version of the original, and a handful of pretty basic branded guns.

I remember the original super soaker being more expensive than current ones back in the day. By the mid 90's they had models that absolutely went for $80 bucks. Hand higher. Bells, whistles, exchangeable

Also pretty important is that Bill Nye is a performer. Yes he works in an educational context. But dude’s last major TV project wrapped up 24 years ago.

I’m under 40, if only just a bit. We were absolutely bombarded with with reruns of this stuff. Particularly before Reality TV replaced syndication for filling the airwaves on cable. But the never ending blitz of “isn’t Boomer shit the best” kept them pretty present well into the early 00's.

Thing is there were other

Well I mean you just mathed yourself out of your own argument right there. But for more math: The first Raimi Spider-Man came out 20 years ago, more than long enough for inflation to be a factor. It’s $821m box office, would be $1.3b today. An increase of at more than 2 Morbiuses! Just accounting for that would close

We are talking about dogs.

Look up self domestication.

Well he exists in the MCU, and we have a JJ Jameson now fully introduced. They’re actually pretty well setup to adapt his origin at this point.

I think when there are coordinated efforts to manipulate that audience score it very much does matter. Because that’s a deliberate effort to misrepresent audience reactions. If you’re more reliant on audience reactions, that’s a bigger problem for you.

The Tinkerer, but I consider him more tech support

Or every early film serial.
