It isn’t quite considered nonsense everywhere else, although that seems to be a more recent change and there are probably more people who don’t support it’s existence even in the US.

But the current skeptical take seems to be that there is something in it. But it is vanishingly rare, like a handful of cases in it’s

It’s inclusion in the DSM doesn’t mean something is real, after all earlier versions of the DSM included shit like homosexuality.

More over the DSM is an American manual, the rest of the world tends to use the ICD. The ICD does include Dissociative Identity Disorder currently. For a very long time it didn’t. But

It’s a self applied term from organized, ideological misogynists. It rolls out of a particular flavor of “Men’s Rights” movements and “Men Going Their Own Way” bullshit. Some members and advocates for these ideas labelled themselves “involuntarily celibate”, hence “incel”. And developed an ideology of male entitlement

Gotta say I grabbed a bottle of Slane today mostly because I could find it and you mentioned it. And it is really good.

That’s probably the best bottle of whiskey I’ve had for thirty bucks, and I probably like it better than the Knappogue at close to twice the price.

That’s excellent news. Guillén clearly has a lot of vocal talent, and I’ve been wondering if he’d get a little more into voice acting.

Also hadn’t caught that Blue Beetle news, and that’s great too. I’m not super fond of the Jaime Reyes version of the character. If only cause it’s kinda always seemed very “for the

He’s pretty much the Michael Phelps of comedic straight men in that shit.

In beer production a US Barrel (BBL) as a unit is 31g/117lt. In Europe it’s 100lt/26.4g.

The beer measure has zero relationship to the size of physical barrels used in whiskey and wine making. And even US breweries tend to track production based around 100lt/1000lt volumes. So the US measure is mostly pertinent for

I know of a number of single guys in their 30's who aren’t living. None the less a “fulfilled life” because they didn’t do incredibly basic shit like avoid eating out, public entertainment venues and in person shopping.

Or couldn’t avoid those things because they worked in those industries. And jackasses who wanted a

You know you can get tested for that sort of thing. It’s not some vast mystery.

Just to underline it. We’re 2+ years into COVID and I still haven’t had COVID. Despite having a job that required constant close contact with the public, in indoor spaces, in many locations, across a pretty big geographical area, in a place that had the highest per capita infection rate in the nation for much of that

Thing is Southern Comfort is not whiskey. It’s a liqueur. It’s whiskey based. But it’s heavily sweetened; and flavored with honey, fruits and spices.

If you like check Irish Mist, Drambuie and similar Irish and Scotch Products. They’re quite a bit better, but in the same sort field.

Lizardo is probably referring to BBL, or barrels as a measure in beer terms. It’s used as a core unit in brewing and distribution. An American BBL is 31g/117.4lt, making a half barrel or keg 155g/58.7lt. In Europe a BBL is 100 liters, half barrel/keg is 50lt.

But actual production at the brewery level even in the US

Honestly the same is true of used whiskey barrels in whiskey production. American once used barrels are used so heavily in Irish and Scotch production because they’re cheap and available in volume. Not because it’s preferable.

Barrell aged beer is actually falling in popularity. It’s got some regional stuff going on. Midwest, PA, Upstate NY seem to still be fairly into. And Big Beer is kinda trying to make a thing again.

Moving target. There’s been a lot of updates on this shit the last 10ish years. And there’s more than one code dictating the rules.

There’s a couple of brands of Irish whiskey like that. 2 Gingers is another big one. Essentially importers/blenders bringing Irish whiskey into the US. Since it’s made in Ireland, and often blended and packaged there it’s Irish whiskey.

That’s a bit outdated.

“Corn Whiskey”, which needs to be 80% corn in the mash by statute hasn’t required barreling/aging for quite a while.

Irish single malts are often a very good value. I like Tyrconnell, which tends to be less than $50 bucks and tastes like a significantly more expensive whiskey.

And my point was that Guardians didn’t get a couple volumes till after the film was announced. It got like a year of poorly selling issues before cancellation, which is technically volume 2. Before getting relaunched *again* of the back of the film being announced.

There’s a much more obvious reason it likely the Jack Russel version, or at least significantly based on.
