If memory serves there was a dispute with the cast over compensation and royalties around one of the last 2 revivals. Both were done pretty low budget, and it seems like that was taken out on the cast.
It’s more like a collection of stuff that didn’t fit in season 2 or season 3. Stretched out with the take over story.
And that was really half assed fake out. We watched him clearly get shot in the shoulder and keep moving. There was absolutely no reason to do that tension created that way.
