People call Snyder an Objectivist/Rand fetishist because many of his films showcase, broadly, Rand’s ideas. To the extent that there are underlying themes to his work at all, they run along the Randian great men not being dragged down by leaches, personal responsibility etc line.

IIRC he provided an outline, and may have worked on the script itself. But did not neccisarily write the final draft. And often times on big studio projects, the person who did. And got the “written by” credit is a hired gun who scripted and smoothed out subsequent drafts rather than significantly framing and

Or perhaps 24 year old pop culture references?

Projects begun while he still had a relationship with WB/DC probably aren’t the best gauge of what’s going down in the future. Neither are movies that are long out.

$70m for a quick payday on a $300m plus disaster.

As a closer on his contract.

I’m reasonably sure the whole Snyder Cut thing was a way to cut his contract. Let him do that and he doesn’t have producer/creator credits on a bunch of projects moving forward, or the pay day to go with it. And you’re off the hook for

Part of that is uncanny valley from the de-aging CG. But it’s sorta like they made him younger than he was in the Spider-Man Films. He looks more like Boogie Nights era Molina than Spider-Man era Molina. And more a mix of Raimi Doc Oc and Doc Oc than anything.

But if anyone can successfully start a franchise, it’s Snyder,

I can only see a Sinister 6 movie going two ways:

Maybe you’ve confused your Toms. But you’ve definitely misinterpreted what I said. It’s not part of Holland’s contract. It is purportedly what Holland threatened to do when time came to re-up, in order to assert himself in the Sony/Marvel dispute 2 years ago.

Holland’s role has widely been reported. And since

Oh and for the tentacle design.

And people interpreted Evan Peters’ appearance in Wanda Vision to mean Fox’s X-Men films would be considered canon, Hugh Jackman would be sanctified as the one true Wolverine and it’d all get hand waved as “multiverse”.

Many people are keying themselves up the same way expectation wise vis a vis ties between past

Confirmed where?

Cause the character has different hair, different glasses, a different design for the tentacles, and it isn’t the same outfit even if it’s similar.

And yet he’s de-aged.

Much of that is for No Way Home. Outside of Electro, Doc Oc and Rhino I believe none of it’s confirmed. Sony isn’t likely to be spending time on solo origin movies for Villains if they’re just going to build their long hoped for Sinister 6 film off the back of Vulture plus the cast of a single MCU film, even if they

Last go round the it’s a deal moment was apparently Holland threatening to pull out if Sony and Disney didn’t make a deal. He has consistently talked about being happy to work with Marvel, and wanting to stick around with Marvel. So it’d be easy enough to keep him around. But keeping him in the MCU.

Apparently

Leto can act. He’s just obnoxious, and tends to pick obnoxious projects. In the right thing, with good direction and some one to reign him in he can be very good.

Disney and Sony made a deal back in April to stick Sony’s back catalog on Hulu, and Spidey stuff on D+. It supposedly involved TV rights for MCU Spidey.

Weird deal if Spider-Man or even just Holland is on his way out.

I wouldn’t call it a fairy tale. It’s just a 30 year old, disproven consensus.

Not just Monte Verde, there’s been a whole bunch of pre-Clovis finds the last 20 years.

Spider-Man is leaving the MCU.

I think Sony are shooting themselves in the foot here a bit. They don’t really have much to work with besides villains, but running them all as anti-heroes to sub in is gonna get weird. And they’re gonna run into a lack of options for actual villains to throw at Spiderman. Practically every Marvel villain did a spin
