It’s just been rolled in red food coloring, for funsies. They do it in a couple of states.

You can also sometimes get them in pink, orange or other colors. But they’re also available sans coloring.

Other than that they’re a particularly good natural casing dog of the pork and beef variety. Low to no garlic, similar to

something with the texture of a rubber Halloween mask and the durability of cheap shoe leather

I think maybe a meatball sub or an egg sandwich might be better for NY.

Are patty melts really a Nevada thing?

That’s gonna depend very much on the real grenadine. As it’s a sugar syrup, and it gets boiled for a while it should certainly have a shelf life longer than a few weeks. But it will last longest when stored in the fridge. Even commercially produced simple syrup will grow a face in a couple months without

It's not hard. You bring it to a boil and let it simmer till it's thick. Just need to keep an eye on it so it doesn't boil over or burn.

Monin claims “natural flavors” and the ingredients list “grenadine flavor”. So probably fake.

Pomegranate molasses is not the same thing as grenadine. Real Pom molasses is made by cooking down just pomegranate juice, cooked down till it is very thick, dark and at least a bit caramelized.

As far as Rose’s lime goes, it’s important to note it’s marketed as Rose’s Lime Cordial in other countries. It’s not a shitty shelf stable lime juice, it’s lime syrup. And while there are better ones on the market, it’s not bad.

Back in the day it wasn’t a better equalizer. Because it isn’t as simple as who can afford prep. And the disparity exists without it. It’s down to the sum total of disparity in education. Wealthier people can afford pre-k, after school programs of all sorts (not just test prep), tutoring, advanced placement classes

Anything involving kids and money or employment has some serious, complicated legal and liability situations that need to be dealt with. Then you throw increasing regulations and scrutiny around kids with free to play games and micro transactions.

Consoles have typically launched well behind PCs since the mid to late 90's. And you can especially look at where the last gen was in comparison.

Also looking just like the PC version with all the bells and whistles on is a pretty major step for consoles. To the extent that already existing PC "wow" is a big part of the push on these new consoles, it's actually a pretty decent thing to demonstrate.

make a pie crust out of it.

The dalgona coffee was apparently a thing in Korean cafes for a long time before it became internet famous. From what I gather quarantined, bored Koreans began making it at home and posting about it. So it was less manufactured for Instagram views than a home recipe for a restaurant treat that took off where it wasn’t

Yeah but you can have ham without having a ham sandwich. You can have tuna salad without eating a tuna salad sandwich.

since English doesn’t have it.

I’ve found that when buying a 1/2 or 1/4 carcass direct from a farm a lot of the time better than half of it ends up as ground beef. So you blow through the cuts quite quickly but it takes quite a while to burn through that much chop meat.

Yeah I’ve seen these things around. And while I’m big on Talenti in general, none of them seemed to appealing to me. Including the two you mentioned.

I was not however aware of this Lemon Pie thing Allison mentions. I’ll be making sure to strangle a soccer mom to get at one next time I’m at the store.

I wouldn’t say it’s basically a cult. Though I can’t neccisarily speak to any wierd at your particular lodge. These days these groups are basically the Chamber of Commerce with pageantry.
