As long as Toyota keeps producing FWD cars, they’ll likely always produce V6s over I6s simply because V6s can fit transversely in a FWD car. It makes little sense for them to develop two 6-cylinder engines just because one is smoother for those few who can appreciate the difference.

For some reason auto journalists (or maybe just Jalopnik) have decided that the Telluride/Palisade is “OMG this thing is humongous!!!!!!” large. Which is comical when you actually see the vehicle in person and realize it is basically a Pilot/Explorer, not a Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban, etc.
