You can drive without plates but you need registration regardless. Usually it’s in the form of a small piece of paper that must be fixed to the windshield.

The fastest one that gets me to the mall. Yeee
I’d say its more so the tranny being the weak link over the motor. The biggest complaint I hear from Taco owners is the trans and it hunting for gears a lot. I felt the same way with the dated 4runner trans also.
I mentioned in another comment I do agree with this, I was only going off the comparisons being used in the article. The most notable PRO upgrade is the small lift, I’d say. The tacoma was definitely built from the get-go to have better off road capability but once the Ranger Raptor hits the states, it will be a tough…
...aren’t going to sell it yet. From what’s been going around it’s only the 2019 Ranger Raptor that won’t hit the states. I’d say by 2021, the raptor trim will be available here.
Yes, this would be more ideal. I was just going off on what the article mentioned using the ZR2 and Pro as comparisons and included the “insert” statement for the ranger trim that does not exist <yet>.
Wow, this does not look good...like at all
The TRD Pro is not a true comparison to the standard Ranger as the Taco Pro comes with some upgraded bits...It should be the Pro vs the ZR2 vs (insert Ranger special off-road trim here)
You’re an idiot if you pay $600 for the fluid change.
A S3/R is not leaps and bounds greater than a GTI in terms of performance...it’s the same motor with a larger turbo. Yes, a GTI can get the job done but it always felt like it needed just a little more power out of the factory...I actually did the opposite, came from a GTI and into a S3. Mostly for two reasons,…
That’s explicitly stated in this article...
I actually hope the gas tax gets repealed for the sole fact it was not brought to the people for a vote. The repeal legislation will make it so all future gas tax increase proposals must be taken to the ballot. It’s not only a gas tax that the measure effects, but also a new vehicle registration fees based on vehicle…
That’s cool and all but what about those that can’t afford a fancy new EV?Let’s not forget how that’ll affect the economies in places such as Hawaii and CA with already ridiculously high prices....It’s always easier said than done.
The only one that loses in a mustang race is the pedestrian.
No they aren’t, especially in stop and go LA traffic.
Exactly this. LA traffic will never allow you to leave enough space.
Not sure where you been but most autos have a “Sport” mode now allowing you to control the gear selection...
god I hate fake vents, especially on the front bumper
Everyone needs to get over it. Outside of Jalopknik no one cares it’s not coming with a manual option.
Now this is proper
