How is that vague? I was pretty specific in saying almost every adventure game today has better controls than SofC. Why should I name them when I am including basically all of them. It would probably be easier for me to name ones that are worse but I'm hard pressed to think of any right now.
To just about any adventure game.
Agreed :)
Well, good for you, I disagree, to each their own
No sweat, sorry I misread. You're cool with me
No, the controls suck to me and that was largely the reason I stopped playing it. They were clunky and unintuitive in today's realm of games.
Don't be dick dude, you don't know me just as much I don't know you. So far I can tell that you are an elitist snob that clearly is probably so annoying to be around that I'm sure you have no friends, cause who would want to be around a douchebag like you? I'm sure your relationships are non existent, because you…
Clunky controls can't be fixed with a button arrangement. It has to do with the gameplay itself. It's clunky and old. At the time when the game came out it was ok, but in today's standards it's just poor. I don't think it holds up well at all. Hence me stopping playing it.
Disagreement noted and logged.
Well, to each their own. I think it has it's place in gaming history, I may even say it could be considered a classic to a point. But rather one better left as a memory than revisited.
The fact that you need to explain and defend the controls means they are unintuitive. A good game should allow you to pick it up and play it the way you think it should control logically. The horse is bad, Assassin's Creed does horses better, Zelda does horses better, many games have done horses better. At the time…
And now you have, and knowing is half the battle.
If the game is going to be rereleased for today's consoles then it certainly can be held up to today's standards. The controls are bad and there's nothing more to say. The were tollerable back in the day but today they just are clunky and unresponsive. I got bored playing it and frustrated. Of course this is my…
No they aren't, they are bad for the kind of game it is. Just like Monster Hunter has terrible controls. Anyone that think Monster Hunter has good controls is crazy. Yes you put up with them because its awesome, but honestly I won't play it on PSP because I refuse to claw my finger. That is ridiculous. The Wii solved…
You are neglecting to understand that I gave the game credit for its past. But if you are going to rerelease it in the future then yes, I have every right to question how it holds up to current gen games. And it simply doesn't. I give the game credit for its innovation at the time, I enjoyed it back then. But…
Of course everyone has their personal preferences, so what I find great you may not. If you liked SofC that fine by me. No skin off my back. I don't like it that much anymore though. If you want to talk about better games though I can say a lot of Final Fantasy games are better. Zelda games are better. Xenogears.…
Well, glad you liked it. I don't hate it but it isn't the best PS2 game by far. I enjoyed many other games more than SofT in the day.
I've played plenty of games with unconventional controls. Yes you do get used to them, still doesn't make it good though. This was a game where I thought it hampered the game more than anything. It just didn't work for what the game wanted you to do. At least that was my opinion, so I quit playing it and I hardly ever…
I did play the game for at least about 4 or 5 of the Colossi. SO I do know how it plays out to an extent. Just got bored with it. And the controls didn't help
