Honestly, it’s not even worth debating this point until she provides some sort of data. What she says may very well be true (though not for the reasons she states) but I’m not going to get into an argument about abortion rates that are most likely made up at the moment.

I came here to ask the same question. She is amazing and I adore her, but she is Malaysian, worked a large portion of her career in Hong Kong and the UK, and lives in Switzerland. She is Asian, and has worked in Hollywood, but I really don’t think that makes her Asian-American. That isn’t to say that an Oscar win…
