You might already know but Seymour (and these abandoned pokemon) is based on a real dog in Japan called Hachiko who would go to Shibuya station at the same time every day to meet his owner (Professor Ueno) after work. Even after Ueno died Hachiko kept coming to the same spot every day for 9 years.
