This is horrible advice. untrained people should not apply tourniquets.. period... full stop... The number of unnecessary amputations from improper tourniquet use is a major issue and opens up potential liability concerns. the only issue i see is that typically these are set up in long and slender hallways which means you need to keep things in straight lines. there often isnt room with 2 rows back to back to add this much space at a perpendicular angle.
