There is no way to isolate the cause for the credit bump. Was it the slow payback or the fact that you used it with a good payment record. Payment history makes up 35% of FICO scores and if you dont use it, your history doesnt show any payments.

How FICO scores are determined in terms of individual weighted percentages. Payment History and Amounts owed (i.e. credit utilization) are the biggest factors you can control. the 15% Length of Credit history is frustrating because it takes time and there is nothing you can do to bump that up.:
