To be honest, There is more than we are being told and more than they are being told. My parents (who have a PS3 for bluray) were called for a fishing attempt against their PSN linked CC last night...twice. They do not shop online and from what they told me, the information they "knew" was in line with what is being

@Grimm808: And wings for flying purposes while wearing shriners hats.

@PoweredByHentai: Different kind of brute force... Using the same number (say 743 on 10 million cards) would turn up some winners. Using the number of cards as the hack attack, not the same card with 1000 numbers.

@cheeezwhiz: You seem to be confusing media with news media. Kotaku is not group of investigative reporters. Sure they call developers everyonce and a while and they also do a great job reposting information they receive, however at no time do they consider themselves investigative journalists.

I have pay wave in the card as well. Like i said, i have never paid a fee for my card replacements, and if it is suspected of fraud, they wave the fee. If you break your card in half in your pocket, then you should be responsible for cost to replace the card (crappy plastic, postage, persons time to get the card in

Pennsylvania. I have never had an issue before and i have never paid for a replacement.

surprising. even if you break/lose it of your own accord?

Actually, they are quite awesome. Points Debit Visa, Virtual Wallet, Photo Check Cashing, no fee interest checking, account hub intergration. Most banks charge for card replacements outside of the normal cycle. read the fine print.

They are waving the fee... Did i mention that?

my bank charges for replacement cards if they are broken or lost, however due to the sony breach, they are waiving/refunding the $7.50 they charge for replacement cards. Hopefully all banks are waiving the fees for this.

@The Yam!: Except for the stress induced by calling all of your automatic bill pays to switch card numbers... i canceled to be safe, but it is taking me quite a while to adjust all those payments.

So I am not mad at Sony. Really, I am not...

@Sublethalend: I played FF8 al the way to the final battle. Saved at the save point. Ran in, and Squall died about halfway through and was replaced. Me being me, I turned the game off because i wanted all my people to be alive, however I never tried the battle again. I think i still have the save file somewhere but

America... F Yeah...
