@t88: Maybe that explains why Alpha Protocol was such a mess.
That is nice and clean. I have had that DPT for a while and I really like it. Mac OS X needs Rainmeter though. GeekTool just doesn't do it for me.
@Vanilla-Terror: Actually this is one area where state laws don't apply according to an ACLU lawyer a photography group I used to be part of contacted. These laws basically violate your civil rights and probably wouldn't hold up in court (though it would probably have to be appealed at at least the state level).
I was a member of a photography club for a few years after 9/11 (and the fact that we are located in Oklahoma City didn't help due to the Murrah Building Bombing) and we had a lot of problems with people like this. Eventually we got a document from an ACLU lawyer that explained our civil rights as photographers in…
@BigDaddy0790: I agree with you 100%. My favorite type of game is a comp stomp where the human players turn on each other at the end ;)
After playing the beta I have to say that I think they are being too generous with their MSR's. My machine meets the Recommended specs for Mac but it really only ran the beta well at the lowest settings.
@natedogXVI: Mandatory installs are not allowed by Microsoft on the Xbox 360 since the hard drives are not a standard feature.
They should re-release the first one on consoles before they release this one.
I still haven't played Spore. When it first came out I didn't have a computer than could run it and now that I do I have almost completely forgotten about it.
@Nexus6: No kidding.
Begin countdown to cease and desist emails.
Another interesting one you missed is Empire by Orson Scott Card. It is in the same universe as the Shadow Complex game. Say want you want about Card's personal politics but the guy knows how to tell a decent story (though Empire is far from his best work).
@VincentGrey: I don't think he ever did. And actually he doesn't have much to do with with of the books that bear his name either. Case in point:
@Chaoseraph: Yea I really like the first two Myst books but I never got around to reading the third for some reason. I need to put it on my wish list.
@gurfinki: Actually if the fan in the G3's PSU didn't make such a loud whining noise I would still be using it as a file server/media slave for the Xbox 360. Still considering it actually.
@gurfinki: I agree three years isn't a good run. I bought an iBook G4 in 2004 and it is still going strong (but it belongs to a friend now).
I love Apple's OS but the MacBook is the only model of Mac I would actually buy these days (and it is what I am using to type this). I'm planning on building a Hackintosh myself since the only desktop Apple makes that even meets my requirements is the Mac Pro.
@Kobun: Yes but the way the enemies move has way more in common with Space Invaders than Galaga while the only thing that makes it like Galaga is that you don't have things to hide behind. If your looking for a game like Galaga check out Retrofit: Overload (see I can do it too :P ).
@koreshonfire: According to the Spam documentary they show on the History Channel Spam stands for Spiced Ham.
