I’d take one of those Audis in a heartbeat. What a shame.

This just makes me realize how much the former Soviet Union already looks just like the western portrayal of post-apocalyptic times, like the kinds of environments we see in video games and movies.

Looks like someone didn’t stick around for the Days of Future Past after credits scene.

Wait, why is it impossible to drive between North and South America? Is it because of the panama canal? That’s really the only fact that surprised me.

I feel like Trump’s going to let the Paris Climate Change deal stand. Any policy that is already in place (besides Obamacare, if only because Republicans have been dying to get rid of it for 7 years now) he will most likely keep. He’s not going to fight abortion, gay marriage, the climate change agreements, or

Been over a week now since I visited the Apple Store to request a new battery, still no word from them. I thought this was going to be fairly obscure issue that not many people would know about, clearly I was wrong. But up until this news broke I thought that my phone randomly shutting down at 20% was just a symptom

If Japan had somehow managed to win WWII and take over half of the United States, that would have drastically improved the power and influence of the imperial government. Sure, some reforms would have taken place, but it’s not at all a stretch to think that they’d still be authoritarian.

PS Vue was a no brainer for me as I already own a PS4. The service works much better than I ever expected it to. What surprised me most was the solid HD picture, which both loads almost instantaneously and it is incredibly reliable (my internet is average, but not great). Plus, it has all the channels I’d ever want to

Hey Gizmodo, please don’t become Gawker 2.0. You’re a tech site, and we love you for it. There are plenty of other places I can go to read about politics.

Thanksgiving was a holiday started by Abraham Lincoln, and it was literally nothing more than a time set aside to be thankful. It had no ties to the pilgrims whatsoever, but at some point we just decided to connect to the two and say that the pilgrims were the ones to have the first thanksgiving. Because why not?

Whoa, it totally looks like a Ghibli production now.

Not being a Trump supporter myself, I really don’t get all this talk of Trump being anti-LGBT. He seemed pro-LGBT before he began his campaign, and he never said anything during his campaign that would suggest otherwise. He’s even made promises to protect the gay community from hate. Which, even if it’s not saying

I honestly don’t believe he’ll back out of the Paris agreements. For one thing, he would have to break international law to do so (as you pointed out). But I also don’t think his policies will be nearly as conservative as he’s lead us all to believe. He’s already warming up to some parts of Obamacare, a law he said

We need to keep in mind that Microsoft is about to further fragment the console experience with the Scorpio as well, so we can’t blame Sony alone for changing the way consoles work. That’s simply the way things are moving.

This is definitely an instance where you either prefer design over function or vice versa. Is the 2nd gen NES functionally superior? Yes, and no one’s questioning that. But it’s as the saying goes, “there’s nothing quite like the original.” I’m in the design over function camp, I’d take the first gen NES over the 2nd

Yeah, yeah, Gizmodo and all the other former Gawker sites hate Peter Thiel, but you know what? I think the guy did us all a service by killing Gawker. Maybe you don’t like the way it happened, which is more than fair. But I’m still glad it happened nonetheless.

Has Microsoft taught us nothing?

I don’t understand why Apple just doesn’t start it’s own TV streaming service already, similar to Playstation Vue or Sling TV. They certainly have the resources, and it would practically make the Apple TV the only streaming box you’d ever need.

I’m totally fine with them dropping the HDMI and USB ports. I can even live without the MagSafe, even though it will be greatly missed. But I don’t understand the removal of the SD card slot. USB-C can replace most of the ports out there, but it can’t replace SD cards, which aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. And

I would be okay with this if it weren’t for the significant price difference between the Air and the new MacBooks Pros. Maybe they can’t give us a Retina display for $999, I guess I can accept that. But refusing to update the specs entirely? What the heck. The Air is a great entry level product, I don’t understand why
