“The very first morning, as is tradition, it wouldn’t start. I had to wiggle the ignition harness to get it going.

Nice looking ride, yet, I’m way too high mileage adverse to feel good about spending $9,500 on a 14 year old 160K mile Audi.

My comp search shows it’s worth it, but it’s still a VAG product out of warranty so ND.

haha. There are no pro riders on $2000 bikes.

At a certain point age and mileage become separate items when it comes to condition. There is mileage which is wear and tear (easy miles and hard miles both exist) and there is age which is deterioration. You can have a high mile car with no real issue, such as those high mile delivery cars that do 1,000,000 miles in

didn’t read the article, but if they provide the same level of scrutiny to drivers who hit protesters as they do to drivers who hit cyclists, then all you (as a driver) need to say are 4 magic words “I didn’t see him”.

There are a whole lot more case studies in why these protests need to keep happening, chud.

Ah yes. An effective protest is one that everyone can ignore and pretend does not exist. MLK was famed for saying, “We must appease the white moderate who needs his comfort and convenience.”

He’s right about the risk of terrorists pulling you over.

Is that really happening though? Like, if you were to compare the number of instances of “terrorists in the streets burning buildings, shooting cars and killing people” to the sheer number of blacks lynched and murdered by cops and fearful whites, does it even fucking rate? Nope. No protesters are out there killing

I can certainly see why someone might be scared of being approached, at night, by mask-wearing people in the street. And I can certainly see why the instinctive approach may be to try and get the hell out of there as quickly as you can.

That’s some sweet spelling and a well thought out argument there, champ. You know why Americans carry the reputation of being under-educated lazy idiots around the rest of the world? Because it’s the truth. I mean, is it too much to ask for a bit of rational thought now and then? And how the hell does someone not know

If they have zero legitimate reason to be in that area, they premeditated this and went specifically for a confrontation.  Should be attempted vehicular manslaughter.

The driver and passenger, of course, claimed that they were scared of the protesters, which seems to be a common refrain in these increasingly common attacks

Of course they don’t want to charge him. They need people like him to help crush protests and prevent any reform. ACAB.

I’m not on Facebook currently, but I’ll bet my paycheck that half of the comments on the Facebook post of this article are either “go back to covering car news” or accusing Jalopnik of “race-baiting”. Because simply acknowledging racism is racist, apparently.

Harmon Racing’s Blue Lives Matter car was there this weekend. I’d start with them.

Solid front axles, way more capable off road, electronically simpler, rebuildable subsystems....and designed, by Toyota, from the ground up to last forever.
