Hell, I’ve thrown 2000lb of cement bags into a Honda Odyssey. I took out the middle seats (~60lb each) so I could put the load in the center of the vehicle to distribute the weight. Handled the trip home without issue -- didn’t even feel like it hit the bump stops going over a speed bump.
I agree on all three points. Which is also why the CT bending it’s tailgate with this load is so bad.
I used a decade old Kia Sedona with the seats out to move thousands of pounds of rocks over a period of about 2 months, zero long term issues even with the suspension being totally flat out a few times. The Cybertruck is a worse truck than a budget minivan.
ZR2 payload is only 1,300 lbs. But yeah most trucks can handle their rating or more without a shrug.
Except it wasn’t funny.
I think the Duke boys get a pass because they are explicitly anti-authoritarian. It’s like how a cross section of black southern rappers coopted the stars and bars back in the 90s. Rock is clearly supportive of an authoritarian system that he believes will unfairly benefit him, so he’s a very different use case.
Belive it or not, you can appreciate cars while also disliking the fact that a car show laundered Lost Cause propaganda.
Does this paranoia present itself in other parts of your life or do you just reserve it for inconsequential shit like internet comments
Oh yeah they’re so anti-car, they should’ve written an article about how fun it is to drive like a maniac through pedestrian heavy areas if they actually love cars
For busy pedestrian intersections I’m a big fan of traffic being stopped in every direction and people being able to walk anywhere in the intersection (diagonally, etc.). Not sure if that’s what they have in Austin but I’ve seen it in several big cities. It actually reduces the wait for both cars and pedestrians…
Kind of hard to do when the driver has their eyes glued to the left and is only concerned about oncoming vehicles, with no consideration for anything that exists to the right.
yes, we should just give up
This is some victim blaming bullshit, and assumes that all pedestrian strikes occur when the pedestrian is entering the cross-walk from the “right” side of the road.
same stupid tired argument that gets used in gun debates all the time
Eliminating the left arrow? So one car can turn per light cycle at a busy intersection? Ever been ninth in line in the left turning lane? That’s a recipe for road rage.
I will defend the left turn arrow. No it’s not warranted at every single intersection, but it is really necessary in certain spots where you would probably need to sit through 4 or 5 light cycles before you could even hope to get a gap.
Methinks it’s the GIANT FRIGGIN TRUCKS everywhere driving without signaling, stopping or giving way. Nothing like “sharing the road” with armed drivers in 2 ton vehicles.
Given the middle of effen nowhere California location of Harris Ranch, there’s likely plenty of room and sun for a giant solar farm, though.
Phew, good thing nothing infringed on your bubble of safety.
