My 2005 Ody is on its original transmission with 163k. It isn’t perfect, sometimes shifting hard and at odd times, but it still works. 30k fluid change intervals with only Honda fluid.

Sorry, forgot my sarcasm tag.

Even with ramps along, I always looked for a hillside against which I could back the truck up, then just ride or walk the bike right in. That hill behind the truck in the ad looks promising.

Cameltoe MooseKnuckles is determined to denigrate the Ridgeline in any way possible. It isn’t worth even replying to him.

The pieces of my interior that I have yet to resintall, as I’ve not finished attempting to fix the mass of vacuum controlled actuators under the dash.

My folks have a 2007 Ridgeline. Their trunk is permanently occupied by a roadsize hazard kit, a first aid kit, two folding lawn chairs, a tarp, and some bungee cords.

Enter... the swing-away tailgate, new to the Ridgeline for 2017 2006!

BLASPHEMY! The only way a load can be carried is upon a stick axle! Independent suspension cannot possibly be engineered to carry a load! It simply doesn’t make sense!

Oh piss off.

So, you don’t have any Home Depots around? ‘Cause even if I didn’t have landscaping companies offering material delivery, I know for a fact that particular big box store does it. At least, they did as of last summer, when I worked there for seasonal extra cash.

Sure.

I sweep them into the street, and my city pays a guy to drive around with a vacuum truck, because I live in civilization. If I didn’t live in civilization, I’d mulch them or compost them.

::thumbs up::

I have no need of Ridgeline. I don’t ever tow anything, and I have loose landscaping material delivered like a goddamned civilized human.

IOW, it’s a midsize. No midsize is equipped to handle more than a very small amount of gravel. Generally, the type that’s purchased in bags at a big box store, not dumped into the by a front end loader.

With the longer intake runner of the SUV and minivan iteration, it’s actually got great low-end grunt. I think I recall seeing it makes 85% of peak torque by 1500rpm.

I love how everyone is marveling over this trunk as if the Ridgeline didn’t have one for the last 10 years.

That’s very true — it never is convenient.

I’d venture that it has plenty of power for off-roading (think of what the Jeep Wrangler is packing underhood). It’s the suspension, gearing, and tires that would need alteration to make it a good off-roader.

Yes, it’s a full-diameter, reduced-width/capacity donut. Believe it or not, this is getting more common on trucks.
