Correct, but I'm guessing this kid already thought of that, though it would be nice if he had mentioned it instead of leaving us to speculate.

Mine, too:

Did I miss something, or did the kid completely side-step the issue of how much voltage/amperage the motor could handle?

Homebuilts often have serious compromises, like packaging (you can't fit all the batteries you'll need where the gas tank was unless you want a 10 mile range), no AC/heat, no power steering or brakes. One can add all of those things, but it DOES drive the price way up.

I thought the SE did actually have some suspension tweaks in addition to the body kit.

I thought the 7.3 was offered until the early 2000s... do you just not like the newer SD look?

Difficulty — someone shopping in that age range would probably settle for a decontented Trooper in similar condition for $2k less. Maintenance expenses wouldn't be pretty, with it being an orphaned platform.

Doesn't count, requires wings.

What I want to know is why the happy fuck Google isn't working on what all of us REALLY want?

#COTD, this.

I don't see the problem. It quite clearly still has a vent and a door.

You've never felt eagerness from a hybrid before? Try a Prius in PWR mode. The pedal goes from flatlined in ECO mode to "here, have all of the electric torques at once" in PWR mode.

Wagonize it, you say? That's what the C-max will be... sort of. I know it's more of an MPV, but that's close enough, right?

I thought about that, truly I did. But though the original 'Vette had a straight 6 until 1955, it's had a V8 ever since. The sound of a V8 is just too much a part of the Corvette. If you want small displacement, bring the displacement of that V8 down, but keep it an 8cyl.

Am I the only one who is more interested in the evolution that needs to take place underhood? 4.0L direct-injected OHC turbo motor, please. You can do it, GM — and clean sheet, please. I've never known anyone who sang the virtues of the LC3, so swapping the SC for a turbo likely wouldn't make it much better.

True. I'm guessing it was done with a van instead of a dude on his bike for safety reasons. Anyone who has ever tried taking a photo or video from a moving vehicle knows that shake is still an issue.

The sedan *should* look weird. A trunk is pointless, POINTLESS, I say, for a small car.

Um... maintenance? You could DD the Fierrari and hoon the hell out of it non-stop. When the inevitable happens and you spin a main bearing or throw a rod, the SBC is going to be slightly cheaper to rebuild than a race-bred Ferrari V8.

Sorry, I should have been more explicit... you can set the "main" page to display pace/time, pace/distance, pace/calories, and bump the info you don't care about to the next page.

No HRM, but Garmin Connect is open and free. I've been using it for a while with my Forerunner 610.
