Only Honda with it's screwball Ridgeline thinks otherwise.

You're not going to get 180hp reliably out of Mazda's 100hp 1.5L without serious mods that would likely far overshoot the Fiesta ST's price. Plus, I'll take a factory turbo setup over aftermarket any day — think of the engineering that has gone into that engine!
No.
Honda, while known for engineering innovation, are rarely the first to a party, unless it's the one they're throwing for something they've invented. But when they do arrive (if they bother at all), they usually kick everyone's ass. (Usually — there are commercial flops, like the Ridgeline, which is a great truck that…
Mazda2 is the same platform, weaker engine. All reviews have it as a much better drive than the Fiesta, despite being down on power, because the suspension tuning and all driver controls are sharper.
I've tried it.
says the guy who apparently drives a car from the company that gave us the automatic rev-matching feature in the 370z...
Phone nav sucks. Really. Try using it next to a dedicated GPS from TomTom, Magellan, or Garmin. Even my lowly $100 Garmin 255 was worlds better than the google nav on my android phone.
Troll much? Anyone who commutes during summer months, DOESN'T live in the Great White North, and wants to get to work not-all-sweaty might laugh heartily at your suggestion.
Agreed. If someone is THAT important, he or she should be able to afford a driver.
Probably. I'm not bothering to look it up.
The S2K was always meant to be a finite-run car. It will be quite a while before Honda replaces it.
Here, Here! The SUVs could surely use the extra grunt. Especially the Ridgeline, since Honda resolutely continues to refuse to build a V8 OR a diesel.
Agreed. Looks like the same treatment they gave older Imprezas to create the Outback Sport. Ain't nothing new here. Let's all move along.
Eh, it ain't my cuppa, for sure. I'd rather have a turbocharged K-series 4 cylinder — I'll always associate Hondas with high-revving, batshit crazy fours.
True, but they have done it, which is more than you can say about Honda, Nissan, and many others. I think the last car supercharger was for the 2.4L in the Scion TC as recently as a couple of years ago.
Got it.
I hear your sarcasm, but actually, yes, it is unlike them to not offer engine mods.
... the fuck is a "stage 1" turbo kit? Last I checked, it was something that existed only in the mind of Gran Turismo designers, who needed some way to delineate a basic bolt-on setup from a batshit-crazy, 1000+hp dyno queen complete rebuild sort of thing.
"The 6.0-litre engine isn't just a pair of Ford Mondeo V6s welded together, although that's sort of how it got started."
