Does it have 10 grand in receipts AND THATS JUST FOR THE PARTS! ?
@DougDeMuro is the author of Plays With Cars. He owned an E63 AMG wagon and once tried to evade police at the Tail of the Dragon using a pontoon boat. (It didn't work.) He worked as a manager for Porsche Cars North America before quitting to become a writer, largely because it meant he no longer had to wear pants.…
I had two of them. 2 door 1988 and a 4 door 1989. LOVED them. Sad that I no longer have them :(
I can't tell if you're joking or not... That's a Porsche Carrera GT
I need to know where to buy these.
Did you buy a house in Antartica just so you could brag about it on internet comment threads?
no roll cage?
$50k with no engine. CP
You beat me to it. I had the exact same idea.
I would buy a handful of great used cars under 20-30k (Z06, Ford STs, E30 M3, E46 M3, 911, Boss 302, etc.) and spend the rest building a private race track that me and all my friends can drive the cars on.
CR rated the Focus ST unreliable because of myfordtouch issues, this has been discussed a lot by now.
I owned two 325iXes, one I bought for $1,500 and another (in MUCH better condition) I bought for $750. You know why you buy two? EVERY iX specific part costs $1000+, brake booster, oil pan, front CV arms, transfer case, transmission, oil pan, rear brakes, front diff, front driveshaft.
they look like they're driving stock vehicles with 5 point harnesses! (No safety features)
ITS A SEDAN!
Presented without comment:
I thought about getting this car (the jalopnik edition 320i) but I landed on the Fiesta ST. It's not RWD, but it puts a huge smile on my face when the rear end gets loose, and it's a blast to drive. Plus I saved something like $10k.
Dat body gap. mmmmhmmm
When you put the top up it looks like a 1970s VW Rabbit convertible!
Two words: Roll Over.
