@petercharters: I doubt whether they have to take the site down to add products. I think they take the site down so they can make it EXTREMELY OBVIOUS that they're adding something new.

@ChaoZ: Yes, they do have the WD SmartWare. Avoid completely. Buggy software, and questionable hardware.

It's just too bad the actual hardware design sucks. The case makes the plug for the Micro USB cable not fit in tight, and the slightest bump will dislodge it from the drive.

Mine's not working either, on EDGE. Has anyone confirmed whether this definitely works on an EDGE connection?

@ Asvetic - Don't know if there's a keyboard shortcut to it or not, but if you middle-click on the search icon, it will open in a new tab.

I keep a card in my wallet specifically for such use, as I have a master key for the building I work in, but there are some people who have felt it necessary to buy a different lock for their office doors. Plain blue card, very flexible.
