I like Holland as Spider-Man, but it seems like he never really gets anything to work outside of that. All of his dramatic turns have been mediocre... this, Cherry, The Devil All The Time. Chaos Walking was a disaster too.

“The hierarchy of power in the Fast universe has changed. I am now back and groveling.”
It’s also revealing that their “fun bonding” scene involves them being incredibly messy and wasteful, you can picture the three of them destroying a bunch of high end groceries as kids. They dump the mess on Kendall’s head as the punctuation on the scene, and then we see them the next morning. I’m sure the mess was…
Well, he can’t successfully pull off to much evil, Jason Mamoa still has to be likeable enough to later join forces with the heroes. Like The Rock, Luke Evans, Jason Statham, John Cena, and now Charlize Theron.
She bit my finger.
I agree, Tom is not below Shiv in the rankings at this point. He’s always desperately hanging on, but Shiv has been upended and exposed. No more allies, other than Mattson.
The biggest problem with Terminator: Dark Fate was Terminator: Genisys having already peed in the pool. If they hadn’t just tried another legacy sequel, it would have felt and been received differently. But it’s impossible to separate and view in the vacuum where Genisys, and even Salvation, don’t exist.
The most unrealistic part of this show is the fact that the presidential candidates are two men under 60 with their mental faculties intact.
I think the joke is more Rip Torn was “notoriously unstable” than “a badass”
I see Tom lower too... He may have had some wins and currently be Logan’s right-hand man, but Logan’s assessment of the current state of ATN and Tom’s leadership. Logan taking in his own future prospects and seeing that the tools at his disposal are Tom and Greg definitely factors into his machinations to ensnare…
Rocky III among the worst? Wrong! It isn’t the best Rocky movie, but it’s good! Clubber is great, and it tells a story about complacency and fear.
I hope he is able to recover. I was aware of his substance abuse problems, and they probably hindered his career. But I always enjoy seeing him, and thought he felt authentic in every role. Saving Private Ryan, Heat, Devil in a Blue Dress, Strange Days... I streamed The Relic recently, I was looking for some throwback…
I think there was a merger between BatgirlCo and Waystar RoyCo
Good news, this was absurd anyway. Absurd to nominate a child in general, and, sure the movie was a forgettable turd, but the actress did not give a standout bad performance.
I like Colin Farrell, but I find the Penguin’s inclusion here baffling. I have heard no real acclaim for that performance, outside of the “isn’t it fascinating that it’s actually handsome actor Colin Farrell under there?” buzz. It’s not bad, it’s just not one of the best of the year.
One thing that’s missing in this phase and beyond is the core character at the center of it, that role that Iron Man provided previously. Thor is the only original Avenger who isn’t dead or feeling like they’ve taken a step back from things, and he’s not right for that role. Black Panther could have been it, but…
I think next week is going to be big for Syril, either finally getting accepted by the Empire, or sticking his nose in somewhere one too many times and getting it blasted off. I think Marva may not be quite dead yet, or set something in motion and is using her own funeral as a distraction or flashpoint for a Rebel…
I definitely got the impression that there is more to her death than meets the eye. If not a total fake-out, she left behind some sort of plan in place to use the distraction to strike back at the Empire. Maybe she left an Inglourious Basterds-style recording behind to be played as the Imperial garrison explodes.
I think a lot of people missed the fact that it seems Shuri is not interested in being queen, and Mbaku is the leader. The movie could have made it a bit clearer. I’ve seen people remarking that the challenge ceremony was just a joke at the end, and while it was a lighthearted moment, the ceremony is no joke. It was…
And without throwing a punch at any of them.
