In-game preorder bonuses are rarely worth it in my opinion. It’s usually either a pack of common items like this, or reskinned weapons/outfits with insane stats that toss any sense of challenge out the window for half the game.

I’d pick Heart Gold or Soul Silver over Emerald, but otherwise I’m in total agreement. The games have had little meaningful growth over the years. Sometimes a new mechanic is added that’s pretty cool, but then it’s abandoned in the next entry.

Yeah. This isn’t all that different from every other preorder bonus in the series. There might be the occasional bonus that’s exclusive to a particular retailer, but general bonuses this is par for the course.

I can’t say I’ve read about anyone going nuts for Broom Boy. I thought the execution of the scene was corny, but it hinted at stuff that could be interesting.

I’m currently trying to leave a dead end graphic artist job. Been with this company for nearly a decade. I had to fight tooth and nail to take home ANY of my work and even then was only allowed scraps. Can’t imagine trying to explain in an interview why there's a 10 year hole in my portfolio.

When you work in an industry where a constantly updated portfolio is required to get new work, this is a really big deal.

My guess is that Aspyr just wasn’t prepared for a remake. It looks like all they’ve done in the past are ports. And while that’s not nothing, making a game (even if it is a remake) is a whole other beast.

I never had any of those really big sets as a kid, but to make up for it I have both the updated Pirates of Barracuda Bay and Lion Knights Castle sets. Haven’t put together the castle yet, but Barracuda Bay looks wonderful both as a whole ship and as a base formed from the wreckage.

So they finally decide to roll out a Hulu/D+ bundle, but there won't be an ad-free option. Good work, guys.
