...the ironically named James Steelman.
I’m sure the PR value they’ll get from this is far above what the car cost them.
If they are unwilling to do that they could potentially give him a car worth $10,000 and it would also be satisfactory. Perhaps a certain 2016 Mazda CX-5.
And while the dealer is trying to make it right for Fredricks, he’s still out of $10,000 and a car.
Once again the age old lesson bites someone in the ass: No title? No cash transfers hands.
This is why “roughing it” for me is staying below concierge level at a nice hotel.
Fuck black soil. It’s a combination of black ink, superglue and babyshit. Showering doesn’t wash it off either, it just turns it back into mud.
Read the story, not just the headline.
We can add “dirt” to the list of things that want to kill you in Australia.
Prices are going up not because the economy is so good, but for two big reasons:
I guess in this context, I’m referring to how a lot of car buyers these days feel like they *need* to have the fancy gadgets and luxury car levels of comfort in every car. That’s what drives up the price on all these trucks and SUV’s, and creates an environment where 96 month loans are a thing.
I beg to differ. A $35k Lamborghini from the 80s is absolutely Jalop.
That’s the consequence of people shopping for a monthly payment without thinking about the total price, depreciation, and near-certainty of being immediately underwater on the loan.
I wonder if one of the eventual effects of this pandemic will be a decrease in the average price of a vehicle. I can’t help but think that people might actually not be ok with a $35k car for the next couple years.
This is a little extreme. Financing is a useful tool and most 36mo loans have interest lower than inflation. You’d be an idiot to pay cash if you can get 0% for 3 yrs.
I’m willing to go 48mo if the warranty is that long, but I am a big believer in substantial down payments too. I usually do taxes + fees + at least 10% of the cost of the car.
CEOs are like college sports coaches. Once you’re in, you’re in. You don’t have to be good. In fact you can be awful. But get that first job and next thing you know your name pops up whenever there’s another opening even if you have no results, bad results, or your only good results were a fluke (you took over when…
Maybe they should be the Lamborghini of motorcycles. Ostentatious and insane without feeling so old and sad by sticking to the same formula forever.
