You may laugh about that, but check out the prices for Hertz Shelby GT350s today:

Max clearly should have been penalized according to F1 current rules (like them or not, that’s a different issue). But, like a bunch of cowards, the stewards ignored the written rules and punted on the matter. It really is quite pathetic.

No, after the Canada decision, they got it wrong again, with their mind boggling inconsistency. So it’s unsafe to barely avoid hitting the wall to the left and returning to a narrow track at a wider angle to actually not lose the car completely at a very high speed (Vettel), but it’s totally ok to drive your opponent

Notwithstanding the move or the decision, just IMAGINE the shitstorm that VERS (and his father) would have raised if it was LEC that pulled that move on HIM.

Why do people keep perpetuating this horseshit about the overtaking car being entitled to the racing line?

Totally agree; he’s the only driver out there that I straight up loathe and it’s largely due to his arrogance and entitlement.

That is not how it works. I assume that you have no wheel-to-wheel experience.

I’ve been following F1 for about 8 years now. There hasn’t been a single driver who I’ve disliked more than Verstappen. I don’t know why. I think it’s because he always says exactly what you think an entitled, whiny asshole would say. He was fine when he first started driving for Red Bull but he’s morphed into a

I’ve been watching more Indycar (not the ovals though) because that’s how much I miss Leigh Diffy...

LeClerc stated to that fact he was going to lose the race to Max, but he thought that it wasn’t a clean pass.  That Max should have been more patient, he was going to get him within the next lap or so.

Exactly. We’re going to hear this “let ‘em race!” nonsense- including right here, from Brownell- until one driver shoves another into a wall. Then it’ll be “Verstappen’s always been dangerous, this is what they get for letting him get away with it!”

Look again at your own picture. The track is bending right, both drivers are going straight. How exactly was LeClerc supposed to “yield[] to Verstappen’s line”? You want him to slam on the brakes? Verstappen went wide in a deliberate attempt to force LeClerc off the track. You can’t get a nose ahead and then use that

It looked like a classic motorcycling block pass, and even there the inside rider rarely escorts the outside rider off the edge of the track like this. But I'm not sure Verstappen passed in the braking zone - their front wheels are aligned when they're both turning, so he hasn't stuck the pass before turn-in.

Yeah, dude made up 6s on LeClerc in about as many laps. LeClerc was not going to win that one, bump or not. It was a dick move, though. Not like Verstappen is not a dick.

Needed to make sure there were no typos? Sorry, but that line of answering from the director is BS. They had a venue full of MV fans, who were solidly celebrating during and after the race, many of whom were probably camping on site. If Max’s victory was overturned, there would have been significant security issues

They always drive over all the marbles and rubber junk on their cooldown lap to pick up as much weight as they can, and it melts to the hot tires. The tires didn’t look like that during the race.
