There is a very active yahoo group called Biturbo zentrum and at least two sources where virtually all parts can be sourced. The dedicated owners are passionate, though most stories revolve around some failure which led to some improvement made in repair.

In true period correct fashion, my 85 Biturbo currently has its engine in pieces. If I get it together by thanksgiving I’ll enter it. After all, an affordable Maserati was the 80’s dream.

Given california’s Status as a tax donor-which would Increase dramatically under the proposed tax reforms- I’d say California’s money Oscar already where it’s mouth is.

Had one in red with a stick shift. That car was great. Never been stopped by so many strangers asking about a car.

1st gear: Let’s all pump our brakes here. Geely has been great for Volvo, except that Volvo is basically an SUV company now, not the quirky wagon maker of yore.

You FOOLS! The Fiat 500L is the ONLY correct answer. Well, it’s the only van-like thing that comes with a STICK. So it’s got that going for it.

I recommend adding Maserati Biturbo to the list- dogged only bc it was unreliable, but it was the first with two turbochargers, saved the company, and actually offered performance at a (semi-)attainable price.

It’s really not that this is too expensive, it’s really that corvettes are too cheap.

Lawyer. I rock a fiat 500e. There’s something about wearing a suit in an Italian car, even if it’s a cheap car (or suit). The RX-8 comes out for appearances in other counties since the 500e has limited range.

Ha! Fight the good fight... I’ve been sleeping on the couch since I pulled the trigger on an ‘85 biturbo. Worth it.
