Now is that on the NA too or just supercharged? NA has a clutch and transmission designed for that power output, supercharged well that’s well beyond what Toyota designed it for.

Not big on the mods but this is a NP for a base Evora.
People keep going on about this expensive clutch job, it’s not like a paddle shift Ferrari or Lambo that needs a new clutch every 5,000 miles. You could probably get 100k on stock clutch if you know how to drive. My Elise has 43k on the original clutch.
4200 miles a year in a corvette is more than I would have expected. It’s not like it’s someones only car. And half the country cant use if for a third of the year.
You know what would probably move more units? A manual transmission.
Would still win before McLaren wins another F1 race.
It was a 2004. I test drove one. Not buying that is my biggest automotive regret.
They’ve made the R every generation, and they always release it a a year or two (or more) into the life cycle. Luckily there are plenty sitting on lots. There are over 1000 new ones listed on auto trader. It’s no longer limited production so dealers have stocked up, if you want one they will still be sitting there in…
He’s racing in the 24 hours of LeMons
You’re comparing a used car that was $225k new which has depreciated heavily due to the fact that it’s the most unreliable exotic since the 355, yet has parts that insanely more expensive. Just wait until the 12C hits the point where McLaren wont let you renew that $6k annual warranty, you’ll find a 12C for the price…
I’ve owned a Lotus for 9 years, I’ve talked to dozens of owners at meets and drives, and read a ton more on forums. Those are the rare case of an oddly problematic car and a truly insane customer. The people making a big stink about Evora quality probably never owned anything other that a new leased Mercedes.
All the hard parkers at the local cruise nights have auto corvettes and 4 figures in aftermarket chrome crap.
That’s the equivalent of $220 dollars today, must have been in Illinois.
Misleading headline is very misleading.
The only thing beautiful about the F50 is the sound it makes.
The local constabulary is pursuing for their own self gratification. Not because it protects or serves their constituents.
If a car is stolen, it’s totaled. Doesn’t matter if they catch them or not. Pursuing a stolen vehicle is just endangering other motorists.
I said laser, not radar.
The problem is that you have economies of scale in effect. Lotus is a much smaller company, the cost for them to build a car is going to be higher. Also GM has had the ability to share technology developed for the Corvette with other vehicles, stuff like magnetic ride control and head up display. If Corvette was an…
It’s not just looks. Most cars aren’t designed for them, they interfere with aerodynamics and cooling.
