I was anything but sad to learn that Boyd has a son he'll never know. But, moreso the opposite. It was pretty plain to see it was a parallel to Raylan and his no good daddy, and that Ava played her one last ace on Raylan and it worked like a charm.

heh, obviously, the folks that write those don't play RPG's regularly.
I'm just happy for the payoff to "The Calvary" subplot they've been hinting at for almost two years now.
Yeah, now that you mention it, maybe I'm thinking of Supernatural, where they're always trying to figure out which fake badges to use :-)
Hey, Coulson may be good, but he's not that good. Seems to me that the events of this one took place at most a couple of days after the events of last episode.
I dunno. I thought flashback Coulson was pretty amusing when he was trying to figure out which identity to take when trying to keep the locals from raiding the house where the agents were being kept.
May really owned this episode. Probably the best acting we've had all year. Heck, I'm even starting to warm up to Skye…
I'm getting old and am at the point where it's just so damned cool to see ANY TV programs set mainly in rural America, much less GOOD shows set in rural America. The past few years, with Fargo, True Detective, Justified, etc. just seem to get it right and bathe in getting it right. And although Albuquerque isn't…
Upon rewatching Season One a couple of years back, I came to the conclusion that Boyd's "born again" act was only partly an act. He really did seem to come unhinged when his daddy and thugs wiped out his congregation. Other than robbing banks and blowing shit up, it was pretty high up on his list of favorite things.
Well, the only reason Dickie survived is that he spent the latter half of the series as a prison cripple. If he somehow managed to get out of the joint, I expect he would have ended up like poor Dewey.
Damn straight. The woman might not have had a lot to do during six seasons, but if I were her I'd MUCH rather do it in Seattle than Lexington, Kentucky.
Yeah, just got finished reading Sepinwall's interview posted late last night and it was repeated there.
Yeah, they'd already done that shtick with Dickie, but at least that one made sense because Raylan was trying to figure out the weed thing.
Either that or Rachel finished off the good stuff while Art was rehabilitating :-)
Nope. Probably ran out of time. I understand Sepinwall did an interview with Yost that explains it, but I've not read it yet.\
Well, I guess it helps knowing the only LE official that actually cares enough to track you down :-) Other than Vasquez, who has been pulling his hair out over "the money" for the last few episodes.
Yeah, I remember us discussing who that mysterious phone call was to last week. Which led to the question about if they ever showed Duffy and Ava together, especially to the point where she'd call and trust him.
I think it was a production necessity. Dillahunt asked to be let off the show earlier for another project, so they had to kill his character early and replace it.
Hipster Gunslinger to the very end. He just had to match his draw up against Raylan. Some assholes are just like that.
And it was Art's call as to who would "escort" her back to Lexington and it was plain by that time that Raylan was back in his good graces.
