Yeah, I have the defensive charm maxed out and a couple other charms but don’t use them enough or well enough is my guess. I’m still just getting into all the buffs and stats - this is my first monster hunter beyond the 3DS MHU4, which I didn’t play much (>30 hours).

I think it’s more of frustration with the higher rank stuff which feels cheap, and not fun. I’m stuck at HR49 and am using combos or full sets of the elder dragons, I use mantels and such too and am an item hog to buff constantly...it’s shitty to get one shotted by Kirin on his big lightening charge when I’m eating…

I’m disappointed his armor kinda sucks and his weapons have really low affinity....of coarse I’m having a bit of a “gear conundrum” right now with MHW.

What bow are you using? I like them, but they seem weak compared to my maxed out charge blade and hammers.

Why am I getting the shit kicked out of me? I have high rank armor and no augs, and the Dear Hecital weapon maxed....and I’m still getting one shotted in high rank and tempered hunts...please don’t say “git gud” I feel like I’m missing something.
